"Across the river" from central Portland, this hotel has a "light rail stop right in front" for "free rides to Downtown" and is steps from "the largest shopping mall in the state"; some rooms are "huge" and provide "outstanding views" of the "city and surrounding mountains", while lesser quarters "look at the roof" (yet still feature an "extremely comfortable bed"), but Web addicts "wish the in-room Internet was free"; P.S. "costly" parking fees are "irritating" given the distance from the center of town.

Enjoyed the view of the park from the 7th floor window.
Wish there were two sinks rather than one inside the shower room. Also would like a hotel to have a DVD player so customers could bring their own.
We enjoyed the fact that the trash cans were split for recycling purposes. Loved the sweet dreams pillows. I was thrilled that we could request a refrigerator and microwave to be brought in free of charge great service. ...read more

Have stayed there many times. Location! Nice staff, actually good food at the restaurant.
Not good.
Great location, just 10 minutes from downtown and nightlife by the free Max train. Staff is nice, rooms are clean. Located in a laid back area at Lloyd center. My wife and I have stayed there over a dozen times in the past 10 years. ...read more

The bed was very comfortable with great bed linens.
Not a great location and you have to pay for parking.
The staff was very nice. The room was nice but not in a very nice location of Portland.

Parking at hotel costs $21 per night.
This hotel is fantastic for convenience and for the price. The staff at breakfast each morning are very friendly and a great hot breakfast included with your stay. I am very disappointed that they charge $21 for a parking space for a 24-hour period, which is the one downfall to the hotel, but if you get a good enough rate, it is easier to swallow.
